    • Creative director

Bob Andrews was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, where he studied art, fashion and theater. In 1982, he graduated from Parsons School of Design in New York with a BFA in Fashion. He began working at Polo Ralph Lauren as Design Director for men’s knits and was instrumental in launching both the Polo Sport and the RLX collections. In 1998 he was promoted to Senior Vice-President of Design for Men’s and Women’s Accessories, and led the team designing and realizing collections within nine brands across the company. After 17 years at Polo Ralph Lauren, Bob moved on to the motion picture industry with a focus on production design, landscape architecture and interior design. Returning to the world of fashion in 2010, he joined GANT as the company’s Creative Director. The GANT Pre-Fall 2010 and Fall/Winter 2011 collections were the first collections under Bob’s direction.

    • Designer for GANT by Michael Bastian

When Michael Bastian, winner of the 2011 CFDA Fashion Awards as the best Menswear Designer of the Year, teamed up with GANT in 2009, the genuine mutual passion for American Sportswear led to great success. The lacrosse-inspired Men’s collection attracted much attention, and last season Michael Bastian designed his first ever collection for women. The GANT by Michael Bastian Fall/Winter 2011 collection blends Scandinavian influences with the heritage of GANT.

Michael Bastian was born in upstate New York, near Lake Ontario. After graduating from Babson College in Wellesley, Massachusetts, he landed his first job in New York City as an assistant buyer for the Abraham & Straus department store chain. During the 1990s he worked for a number of upmarket firms, including Tiffany & Co., Sotheby’s and Polo Ralph Lauren.

In 2001 Michael Bastian became the Men’s Fashion Director at Bergdorf Goodman department store. He launched his own menswear line – Michael Bastian – in 2006 and was nominated for the CFDA Menswear Designer of the Year Award in 2008, 2009 and again in 2010 before he won the award in 2011.

    • Design director for GANT Rugger

Christopher Bastin was born in 1973 in Stockholm, Sweden. He started his career in the fashion industry in 1992 at the Swedish denim hotspot, Solo. Christopher held various positions at H&M, Whyred and Acne as Product Manager and buyer, before joining GANT in 2005, when he began his design career in earnest. His first mission was to design a men’s shirt range. Working alongside several industry veterans, he learned the trade of fabric and garment design – kindling his passion for American Sportswear.

Christopher is currently the designer for GANT Rugger, which was re-launched under his direction with the Spring/Summer 2010 collection. He is now truly a living encyclopedia of American Sportswear heritage.
